Mantle - This was created as a
costume piece for Joan of Arc in the February-March 2005 production of
"St. Joan" at Olney Theatre, and is also the first chain/leather hybrid
piece I have created. This has taken about 100 hours to complete and is
made of bright aluminium, brass, and copper for the crosses, galvanized
aluminium for the choker, and leather sewn to the choker for the
underlay. You can also still see the black paint applied to the bright
aluminium to make it more stage light friendly for "St. Joan". Worn by
Jennie Eisenhower - the granddaughter of Dwight Eisenhower,
great-granddaughter of Richard Nixon, and appearing in the movie Mona
Lisa Smile - as she acted as Joan of Arc.
